Can an AI book MOTs and services for a car dealership?
Yes, if it books into the diary you already run. The Kestrel agent answers service and MOT enquiries on your website and phone line, offers only the slots your service diary actually has, notes courtesy car, collection and while-you-wait requests on the booking, and confirms it to the customer and your team straight away.

What the agent handles
- MOTs and services, into real slots. The agent offers only the times your service diary has free, so nothing is booked that the workshop cannot take.
- The extras, on the booking. Courtesy car, collection and while-you-wait requests are noted on the booking, under the rules you set for each.
- Confirmation both ways. The customer gets a confirmation, and the booking is visible to your team immediately.
- A person when it matters. A customer can ask for a person at any point. Complaints, and anything outside the agent's brief, go to your service team with the transcript and the customer's details.
The rules are yours
Before any customer talks to it, the agent is tuned to how your workshop runs, and you test it yourself on your own diary. Typical rules: book MOTs into bay slots only, offer a courtesy car only where the site can provide one, and hand anything that needs judgement to a person. You change what you do not like before it goes live.
What it will not do
- Book into a slot the diary does not have.
- Promise a courtesy car the site cannot provide.
- Keep a customer from a person. Asking for a human works first time.
What your service department supplies
- Service diary availability, and the rules for courtesy cars, collection and while-you-wait.
- Opening hours and locations.
- Who should receive service handovers.
Diary compatibility depends on the product, version and API access, so every system is marked in the written scope as supported, configurable, requiring custom work or not currently supported before you commit. How the integration review works.
Where the booking data goes
Customer data is held in the UK, for your dealership alone, and used only to serve the conversation and your reporting. Kestrel runs on UK infrastructure under UK law, and conversations are not sent abroad for processing. Security and customer data.
